AFESIP President Somaly Mam with girls rescued from sex trafficking at Tom Dy, a residential facility of the non governmental organization "Acting for Women in Distressing Situations" (AFESIP), an "A to Z" Cambodian relief agency providing outreach, health services, retraining and residential housing in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. AFESIP clients are victims of sex trafficking, ex-prostitutes, or domestically abused. Founded by Somaly Mam, who herself was once a prostitute and victim of trafficking and domestic abuse, AFESIP has three facilities in Cambodia and works with other NGO's to provide long term care for the women. An english translation of her autobiography will be released in September 2007.
